Meet Rick Stacey

Candidate for State Assembly - District 33

For generations Rick Stacey’s family has called District 33 home -  All the way back to 1854. Rick's deep connection to Wisconsin agriculture began on his family's 180-acre farm located between Waterford and Union Grove.

Rick and Lisa Stacey

The son of an electronics technician for AO Smith and Nurse, Rick learned the value of hard work and community at a young age.  Rick attended North Cape Grade School follwed by Waterford High School.  Rick's family operated a cash crop and vegetable farm where he quickly developed an entreprenurial spirit setting up a roadside stand on Hwy 36 in Waterford.

As an active member of the Racine County 4-H, he showed all things from wood working to produce, sheep and steers.  As an early adult, Rick founded Stacey's Hay and Straw which supplied high quality ag products to numerous garden centers.

In 1987, the Stacey family purchased a 361 acre farm in Walworth County.  Under Rick's leadership, the farm evolved into Stacey Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm.  Rick's first hand frustrations with government bureaucracy and red tap led him directly to public service.

In 2004, Rick was elected to the Walworth County Board of Supervisors.  Today, Rick serves as the Chair of Walworth County where he continues to advocate for local control, fiscal responsibility and the preservation of multi-generational farm land.

Rick lives in East Troy with his wife Lisa.  They are proud parents of 2 adult children and grandparents of 2 adorable grandchildren.
